This was a very good B&B in a fantastic location with all amenities needed within the village. 5 pubs and all serving food of good to excellent quality, The Clacken being the best!

The best thing was how helpful the hosts (Chris and Jane) of the B&B were. They gave good information on driving tips, provided recommendations on activities to do, and allowed us to do laundry.
Dislikes:
Not really.

"Friendly and warm welcome"
Stayed for 5 nights during Commonwealth Games. Chris and Jane were most accommodating during our visit and we were made to feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble, including early breakfast when required. The breakfasts were great, as were the packed lunches. Room had plenty of space and nice and clean. If ever we come back to this area, we would certainly stay here again – thanks Liz & Angela Read less

"A real find"
We regularly travel to Loch Lomond as we have a boat there. This is an excellent B and B with really comfortable rooms and lounge. The breakfast was also first class. The hostess and host, Jane and Chris are delightful and could not have been more welcoming. It is located right in the centre of Drymen village with a few good restaurants nearby. Good off-street parking. Will definitely return. Read less

After our first day walking the West Highland Way, we were met by Jane, who was extremely, welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our room was lovely, very large and airy, and the bed was really comfortable. Our breakfast was close to the best we've had. Couldn't recommend the Hawthorns more highly! Read less

Overall rating: 4.7 out of 5
Walked the Highland Way from North to South, The Hawthornes was my last stay before I reached Glasgow. After 6 days of hiking it was a very comfortable and warm place, I can really recommend.
